1. Find Movement you enjoy engaging in daily; Dance it out in the morning, weight train, schedule time for a fun class with Youtube sites like Yoga with Adriene or PopSugar Fitness
2.     Sleep, rest and relax. When you’re sleep-deprived and/or stressed, your body will crave sugary snacks and caffeine for quick artificial energy. Recharging leads to more positive choices daily and allows your body to repair in the evening. 
3.     Schedule fun time. Boredom and stress can lead to overeating. Take time to laugh, play, and participate in activities you love.  Add girls’ night out, date night or a fun evening game with the kids into the daily routine.
4.     Enjoy a hot bath. Add Magnesium salts and/or Lavender essential oil to activate your relaxation response and wipe out cortisol, the stress hormone at the root of weight gain.
5.     Meditate to engage the relaxation response. Start with just five minutes each day and build.  Try an app (Insight Timer), a podcast (Hayhouse Meditations) or simply focus on breath for minutes at a time throughout your day.
6.     Treat yourself with a massage or sauna helps you relax and detox.
7.     Spend time in nature. Spending time in nature connects you with the earth and can provide a natural high. Nature is great at bringing you back to the present moment.
8.     Hug a friend or loved one. Hugs are calming and produce happy hormones.
9.     Serve someone. Volunteering in the community, expressing gratitude in a letter or message, or treating someone with an extra kindness, will fill your cup.
10.  Connect.  Be the light for others as a source of encouragement. Surround yourself with supportive people that cheer you on in the fulfillment of your goals.  Apps like Marco Polo and Voxer are great to stay in touch between get togethers.
